Discover What’s NEXT

Join us this Sunday as we continue NEXT, a new sermon series unveiling First Free Church’s mission, vision, and 10 goals for the next decade. Let’s step forward in faith, trusting the God who holds the future!

What We Believe

First Free is part of the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA), and we hold to the Statement of Faith of the EFCA which can be found by clicking here. We allow for humble differences in Christian understanding in non-essentials.

Our Mission

We are on a mission to love God and love people, making disciples who make a difference.

Our Vision

Our vision is to see people forgiven and set free to flourish in Jesus Christ.

In prayerful dependence upon the work of God's Spirit, we're seeking to realize ten goals over the next ten years:

Message
We will continue to declare and demonstrate the gospel's timeless message in timely and creative ways, inviting people to discover and deepen their relationship with Jesus.

Missions
We will establish and broaden support for existing church-planting partnerships in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, Native America, and North America. We will also seek to help equip the next generation of global pastors.

Mercy
We will establish and broaden support for existing mercy partnerships - local, national and international efforts that provide relief to the poor, oppressed, and hurting.

Multiply
We will strive to minister regularly to over 1,000 residents from White Oak, McKeesport, and their surrounding communities.

Multigenerational
We will remain a church for all ages as we develop with a particular eye and significant investment toward reaching the next generation and developing new generations of church leadership.

Multicultural
We will develop the capacity to reach and reflect the God ordained diversity of our community in our staff, attendance, membership, and leadership.

Multimedia
We will develop the capability to create, publish, and distribute high-quality multimedia content.

Mortgage
We will remain free of burdensome debt and work to retire our mortgage within the next ten years, allowing us to allocate even more resources toward missions and mercy ministries.

Mutuality
We will actively build relationships within and support initiatives of the Allegheny District of the Evangelical Free Church in America, our denomination, and other gospel-centered ministries in our communities.

Ministers and Missionaries
We will support and equip men and women of all ages to explore and pursue biblical calls to full-time missions and vocational ministry in the United States and abroad.

Church Government

We are a congregational church that has an Elder Board to provide directional leadership, along with Deacons and Trustees to aid the work of ministry both spiritually and operationally.
