Whether you are a long-established Christian, a new believer, or someone just checking us out, we believe First Free can be a church home for you – a place to belong and a place to grow!
We offer something for the whole family on almost every Wednesday evening, September - May (6:30 - 8:00 p.m.). View our upcoming event calendar here.
Wednesdays for Adults
We have Men’s and Women’s Growth Groups that meet in our church building during our Wednesday evening ministry, Connect. Most groups are in a study of 1 Peter, while one women’s group is studying Colossians/Philemon.
Men’s Growth Groups meet in the Choir Room and in one of our offices, while women’s groups meet in the gym, Adult Learning Center, and in the Nursery. Please contact Pastor Kirk Albrecht or Nancy Jo Demolin if you are new and wish to join one of these Growth Groups.
Wednesdays for Students (Grades 6-12)
Meet us in the Upper Room or gymnasium for time in the Bible, games, snacks, and fun with friends. We believe in creating a loving atmosphere in our group where Jesus is central and no one is excluded. We also participate in regular service projects, attend special concerts and events, summer missions trips and seasonal retreats. Any student who attends will find a blend of fun and opportunity for growth. Questions? Contact Pastor Alex Ielase.
Wednesdays for Children (through Grade 5)
Your child will love Awana, our Wednesday night ministry for children. Awana is a Bible-based program that helps children learn about God and His plan for their lives. We use Bible teaching, encourage Bible memorization, and arrange games that build confidence and foster teamwork. Children meet according to age in four groups, where they experience small group friendships:
- Puggles (2 year olds), as of Aug 31
- Cubbies (Ages 3 – 4), as of Aug 31
- Sparks (Grades K – 2)
- Truth & Training (Grades 3 – 5)
For directions to Awana, talk with one of our greeters! Questions? Contact Pastor Joel Rishel.
