Welcome!
Whether you are a long-established Christian, a new believer, or someone just checking us out, we believe First Free can be a church home for you – a place to belong and a place to grow!
We offer something for the whole family on almost every Wednesday evening, September - May (6:30 - 8:00 p.m.). View our upcoming event calendar here.
Wednesdays for Adults
When you enter through our Main Lobby doors, you will find a friendly face to guide you to one of our Adult Growth Groups that gather every Wednesday night during our Connect Ministry. We have 5 women’s and 2 men’s Growth Groups that meet in the church building from 6:30-8:00 pm.
The women meet all together in our Adult Learning Center (ALC) for about 20 minutes of teaching before breaking into smaller groups in various rooms throughout the building.
The men’s groups meet in the Fellowship Cafe in the Main Lobby, and the counseling office by the Main Church Office.
Other men’s, women’s, couples, and mixed Growth Groups meet on other nights of the week, either at church or in members’ homes.
Most of our Growth Groups this fall are going through a study of Ephesians.
If you have questions about joining one of our adult Growth Groups, please contact Pastor Kirk Albrecht, kalbrecht@myfefc.org.
Wednesdays for Students (Grades 6-12)
Meet us in the Upper Room or gymnasium for time in the Bible, games, snacks, and fun with friends. We believe in creating a loving atmosphere in our group where Jesus is central and no one is excluded. We also participate in regular service projects, attend special concerts and events, summer missions trips and seasonal retreats. Any student who attends will find a blend of fun and opportunity for growth. Questions? Contact Pastor Alex Ielase.
Wednesdays for Children (through Grade 5)
Your child will love Awana, our Wednesday night ministry for children. Awana is a Bible-based program that helps children learn about God and His plan for their lives. We use Bible teaching, encourage Bible memorization, and arrange games that build confidence and foster teamwork. Children meet according to age in four groups, where they experience small group friendships:
- Puggles (2 year olds), as of Aug 31
- Cubbies (Ages 3 – 4), as of Aug 31
- Sparks (Grades K – 2)
- Truth & Training (Grades 3 – 5)
For directions to Awana, talk with one of our greeters! Questions? Contact the church office.
