Whether you are a long-established Christian, a new believer, or someone just checking us out, we believe First Free can be a church home for you – a place to belong and a place to grow!
We offer something for the whole family on almost every Wednesday evening, September - May (6:30 - 8:00 p.m.). View our upcoming event calendar here.
Wednesdays for Adults
We offer several adult growth groups on Wednesday nights. Join anytime! We're currently on a break but will begin again on September 8 at 6:30 p.m. After coming through our main entrance doors, women are invited to go to the Adult Learning Center and men to the Choir Room to be integrated into a growth group.
This Fall, our growth groups will be studying Following Jesus by Douglas Connelly. This is an 8-week study checking out some key ideas about what it means to be a disciple – a follower of Jesus. Through these studies, you’ll gain a solid foundation on important aspects of the Christian life and how to practically see growth in your relationship with God.
After coming through our main entrance doors, women are invited to go to the Adult Learning Center and men to the Choir Room to be integrated into a growth group.
Questions? Contact Pastor Kirk Albrecht.
Wednesdays for Students (Grades 6-12)
Meet us in the Upper Room or gymnasium for time in the Bible, games, snacks, and fun with friends. We believe in creating a loving atmosphere in our group where Jesus is central and no one is excluded. We also participate in regular service projects, attend special concerts and events, summer missions trips and seasonal retreats. Any student who attends will find a blend of fun and opportunity for growth. Questions? Contact Pastor Alex Ielase.
Wednesdays for Children (through Grade 5)
Your child will love Awana, our Wednesday night ministry for children. We are currently on a summer break, but will start again in September 8th at 6:30 p.m. Awana is a Bible-based program that helps children learn about God and His plan for their lives. We use Bible teaching, encourage Bible memorization, and arrange games that build confidence and foster teamwork. Children meet according to age in four groups, where they experience small group friendships:
- Puggles (2 year olds), as of Aug 31
- Cubbies (Ages 3 – 4), as of Aug 31
- Sparks (Grades K – 2)
- Truth & Training (Grades 3 – 5)
For directions to Awana, talk with one of our greeters! Questions? Contact Pastor Joel Rishel.
