Welcome to GriefShare at First Free.

Grief is harder around the Holidays.  Find comfort for the season with Surviving the Holidays.  Receive support when you need it with a safe and encouraging event where people “get” what you’re going through.  You will find connection and comfort in knowing you’re not alone this season.  One previous attendee stated that “Knowing that I was not alone and that all these people understood my emotions was a powerful thing to experience.”  

Each participant will be given a Holiday Survival Guide full of tips on how to navigate the season, including coping with painful emotions, handling social events and traditions, and more.  Here are the details:

Date- Thursday, November 20, 2025

Location: FEFC, 4001 University Avenue, McKeesport, PA, Adult Learning Center

Time: 10:00 am to 12:00 noon or 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm

Losing a loved one, a child, or a spouse can prove devastating. The period of grief can radically alter who we are, and often the sense of loss seems overwhelming. Many can sink into a period of despair and feel hopeless.

In GriefShare, you will find a supportive, caring community of others who share your pain and are seeking to experience God’s healing, no matter where in your journey of grief you may be.

We offer GriefShare as a church in two sessions each year, once in the fall, and once in the spring. Each session lasts for 13 weeks. Meetings take place in the Adult Learning Center. Content is through DVD’s and following a workbook.
