Spirit Lake Mission Trip

First Free will be partnering with Adventures In Missions (AIM) in Spirit Lake, ND!

The Spirit Lake Nation is a community of the Sioux people located in east-central North Dakota, roughly 100 miles west of Grand Forks. The reservation covers nearly 500 square miles of Northern Plains landscape, home to approximately 7,300 enrolled tribal members, though just over 2,000 live on the reservation itself. Unemployment runs between 40 and 60 percent. The needs are real and significant.

Yet this is not a community without hope, far from it. The Spirit Lake people have had many years of exposure to the Gospel. Among them are believers of genuine faith and courage, determined to live for Christ and wage prayer for their families and neighbors. AIM has cultivated strong local ministry partnerships there, and we are invited to join what God is already doing. This trip is less about us bringing something to Spirit Lake and more about us showing up faithfully alongside a community the Lord already loves and is at work in.

AIM structures the week around a blend of direct ministry, relational outreach, and community service. Our primary focus will be Vacation Bible School, with the possibility of construction or work projects added in.
