International Village Outreach

International Village Outreach
Each August, our town comes alive with music, food, and culture during International Village—a beautiful community tradition right across from our church. For three afternoons (3–8PM), we’ll be there with simple gifts of kindness: free parking, cool tote bags, cold ice water, light snacks, and friendly faces under a shaded canopy with classic tunes playing in the background.
It’s a relaxed, welcoming space—an easy and natural way to connect with our neighbors and quietly remind them that we’re here, we care, and there’s a church family nearby.
Why It Matters
Jesus often met people in the ordinary places of life. No stages. No spotlights. Just a quiet kindness that opened hearts. We want our presence during International Village to reflect that same spirit—offering refreshment, hospitality, and an inviting sense of calm.
No pressure. Just presence.
Here’s How You Can Help:
- Team Leader: Works with Pastor Kevin to help plan, guide, and coordinate our overall outreach effort over all three days.
- Day Captains (One per day): Helps keep things flowing, provides consistency, encourages volunteers, and maintains a warm, welcoming vibe.
- Volunteer Greeters: Serve in shifts (as little as an hour, or longer if you'd like). Offer water, bags, snacks, or just share a smile and simple hospitality.
- Set-up/Tear-down Helpers: Help assemble and pack up canopy, tables, chairs, and a speaker each day.
Whether you're able to give an hour or a whole evening, your presence makes a difference. This isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about being present, being kind, and helping people feel at home around people of faith.
