Core Values

First Evangelical Free Church for many years has been built on 4 Pillars:

  • People matter more than things
  • People without Christ die and go to hell forever
  • The Church is like a hospital not a social club
  • Church is a place to go from not come to

We hold to 5 Core Values, spelling out the word SWEAT

Stewardship — We view all that we have in life as a gift from God, and seek to responsibly use everything. This includes our time and energy in service, our relationships, and faithful financial giving to the local church.

Worship — We should live our lives to honor God in everything, to declare His worth in our lives. We value corporate worship as an important aspect of being the body of Christ together in praise, song, Biblical preaching, and observing the ordinances given by Jesus to the church (baptism and communion).

Evangelism — We understand that the Bible makes it clear that God loves all people, yet we are all separated from Him through sin. So we value taking the truth of the Gospel to all, whether near or far, so everyone has the opportunity to know God personally through faith in Jesus Christ.

Assimilation — We desire each person who attends First Free Church to be fully integrated into the life of the church in worship, in community, and in service. We seek to develop active disciples who live out their faith daily, and who identify with this body of believers.

Teaching — We base our preaching and teaching on God’s Word the Bible, believing that God’s truth has the power to change lives and make us more like our Savior Jesus Christ.
